چکیده
Abstract Background and Aims Living kidney donors with hypertension is potential candidates to solve the imbalance between supply demand for renal transplantation. However, safety of hypertensive donor not sufficiently ensured after nephrectomy there are limited studies, which compare clinical outcomes normotensive donors. Method All data from this study were obtained Korean Organ Transplantation Registry (KOTRY). A total 672 5,134 living included May 2014 December 2020. Primary outcome was occurrence proteinuria development lower function, defined as an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) less than 60 or 45 ml/min/1.73 m2. Results Compared donors, had eGFR before remained risk below m2 (adjusted HR, 0.87; 95% CI 0.70-1.09; P = 0.226) 1.49; 0.77-2.86; 0.234) significantly increased in multiple adjustment. When comparing decline no significant difference unstandardized β, −0.19; −1.15 – 0.76, 0.691). The incidence increased, it tended increase even 4-5 years. Hypertensive found have more 1.83; 1.13-2.96; 0.014). Conclusion Our indicated that donation donor, while translated into function. continuous careful monitoring should be required nephrectomy.

Prospective Swiss cohort study of living-kidney donors: study protocol
Background Offering living kidney donation raised the concern that donors are exposed to unknown risks. All Swiss transplant centres therefore decided to start a prospective cohort study of living kidney donors in Switzerland. This paper describes the rationale for and implementation of this cohort study. Methods/design All kidney donors in Switzerland are registered and examined before donati...
متن کاملA study of renal outcomes in obese living kidney donors.
BACKGROUND Little is known about the long-term outcomes of obese living kidney donors (OLKDs). We undertook this study to describe renal outcomes of OLKDs several years after donation. METHODS We invited 101 OLKDs for follow-up health evaluation. RESULTS Thirty-six subjects (35.6%) completed evaluation at 6.8±1.5 years postdonation. The mean estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) using...
متن کاملLiving Kidney Donation: The Outcomes for Donors
During the past decade, the number of transplantation from living kidney donors has substantially increased worldwide. The rate of increase varies from one country to another. The risk of unilateral nephrectomy to the donor includes perioperative mortality and morbidity plus the long-term risk of living with a single kidney. The rate of perioperative mortality and morbidity is about 0.03% and 1...
متن کاملOutcomes of living kidney donors with medullary sponge kidney
BACKGROUND Patients with medullary sponge kidney (MSK) commonly encounter recurrent nephrolithiasis. The existing knowledge on safety of donors with MSK has not been studied. METHODS We conducted a retrospective cohort study at a tertiary referral hospital to assess the outcomes of living kidney donors with MSK. All adults with MSK (N = 26) who underwent nephrectomy as living kidney donors be...
متن کاملA meta-analysis of renal outcomes in living kidney donors
Given the increased burden of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), renal outcomes of kidney donation by living donors are of particular interest. PubMed, ProQuest, MEDLINE, EMBASE, Chinese national knowledge infrastructure, and Wanfang databases were searched for clinical outcomes of living kidney donors (LKDs) including renal death, ESRD, proteinuria/albuminuria, and renal function after donation. ...
